Sore Loser

Remind me not to take off from the gym for over one week at a time again.  I am hurting.  Bad.  Even though I've been EASING into things I am sore from head to toe, I can't fall asleep because the pain is all over and so bad that I can't seem to get comfortable.  Even two Advil every four hours doesn't help.  I took an extended nap yesterday and still felt like I was hit by a Mack truck.  I think this means that my Fibromyalgia symptoms are back which can be pretty disturbing to my weight loss efforts.  Low energy, extreme fatigue (feels flu-like), restlessness and inability to sleep are some of the symptoms.  The link above suggest that Fibromyalgia sufferers perform mild exercise in short (5 minute) increments to alleviate or control flare-ups.  I'm not sure this will help me shed the pounds though.  Have any of you ever used this method?  I am heading into the gym early today so I can get on the bike and warm up a while before I greet my trainer.  I haven't seen her in about two weeks and I'm in for it.  I feel like SUCH a loser being in this much pain from such little exercise.  I'm not LAZY, I'm just EXHAUSTED.  AND I HATE that.  And this really turns me off to the whole working out thing.  Is it really worth it?

By the way, I didn't feel like this until after my 3rd C-Section...I swear, I'm walking around in a DIFFERENT body!  ANY feedback on this would be appreciated!

when I read "Low energy, extreme fatigue (feels flu-like), restlessness and inability to sleep are some of the symptoms..." in the facebook teaser for this entry, I though "depression" - which would be a very natural thing to be rearing its ugly head with life the way it has been lately. You're probably already aware of that as its symptoms overlap significantly with fibromyalgia, but just saying...

Advil PM is awesome btw, and if you're not already trying that at night, it would kill 2 of your pesky birds :)

and for the record, you are so not a loser, or lazy! don't forget to give yourself credit for all the hard work you're doing and all the good choices you're making, and hopefully the sense of accomplishment will give you more energy and help you feel better all around. *hugs*
