A little Groggy
Beware the Navy Grog. This week I did a pretty good job of recording every thing I ate- I was loyal to my Weight Watchers program, I journaled my food and stayed very close to my required points range. That is, until Saturday. I stopped counting when I attended a kids birthday party complete with the most delicious pulled pork and macaroni and cheese then headed to a party afterward with pesto pasta and plenty of cocktails. I didn't eat too much but I did drink too many calories. I stuck with the safe bet- vodka and soda with a lime -- low in calories and the smallest chance of giving me a hangover. At the end of the night I sent my loving husband to the bar and told him to "surprise me". He did, bringing me a NAVY GROG which is the fruitiest rum induced cocktail -- the alcohol content is probably about the same as a Long Island Iced Tea. It's a specialty drink at Rock 'n' Fish in Manhattan Beach, CA. That was NOT a good idea, but of course it tasted delicious so I had another. My appetite was completely suppressed on Sunday because I was so nauseous I couldn't eat a thing. This cocktail looks so pretty and enticing and even fairly innocent but let me tell you first hand, it will KICK YOUR BUTT.
Still feeling groggy today I weighed in and lost 4.4 lbs this week! Needless to say, I have to GET MYSELF TOGETHER THIS WEEK...and no more "surprises" from my husband!

Congratulations on the 4.4 lbs! Sounds like you had a ton of fun on Saturday. "Surprises" and treats are fun, now and then ;) Hope you have a great day!
Nancy
