I need an emergency thigh workout. I'm heading to the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah and besides watching fabulous new films and star-gazing, I'm hoping to hit the slopes. Of course, that's only if I'm not hungover. I'm planning to cut loose a bit. I'm not bringing the kids or even my skinny hubby. Skinny Sister and I are going to paint the town red since she is the Associate Producer of an ESPN film called Winning Time: Reggie Miller Vs. The New York Knicks that will be screened there. I'm so proud of her! I haven't skied in years and I'm not sure this body is ready for it. Skiing requires those muscles that you didn't know you had. Plus, I need to pack all the gear. I'm pretty scared but I know it will feel good once I'm out there - soft powder, wind in my face, an adrenaline rush, heading downhill, faster, faster, heading toward a mogul...okay, I'm getting really nervous. I'm hoping I don't chicken out and end up in the lodge drinking all day. But is that so bad?Anyone have a good thigh workout? Anyone ever been to Sundance or skied in Park City? I want to hear from you!

how awesome...I learned to ski in Park City. Great slopes! In regard to workout, maybe the cross country machines at the gym?
you need No Gym for a thigh workout. You have a 2 year old. Sit on a chair while the two year old sits on your ankle, then, try to lift the two year old off the ground while keeping your leg straight. See how high you can lift him and feel the Burn in your thighs.
I need to be your personal trainer, wide leg squats and alternating squats, squat to the right, bring feet in, squat to the left, and so on. Also alternating lunges, stepping back rather than forward....we need to chat!Have fun!

The best thigh workout I used to do was running the stairs in Santa Monica. (I think they were the stairs at some canyon close to Santa Monica). I did boot camp a couple weeks ago along the cliffs of the river here in Brisbane and I have never been so sore in my life!!! The trainer just pushes you harder than you ever thought you could. I am sure they have the same there. XOXO Miss you!
